Breakaway Announces Label & Management Division, Breakaway Projects

Independent live entertainment brand Breakaway, which is behind arguably the largest touring music festival (12 cities in 2025), has announced the launch of Breakaway Projects, a record label and management venture.
An announcement from Breakaway notes that along with “distribution partner The Orchard, Breakaway Projects aims to champion emerging talent and elevate the next generation of artists.”
Jaime Neely will serve as president of Breakaway Projects. He is a former Warner and BMG executive who has worked with Lewis Capaldi, 5 Seconds of Summer, Monsta X, producers Jono Sloan (Empire of the Sun) and Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots).
“With the support of The Orchard, we have both the opportunity to nurture talent and feature our signings with an incredible nationwide live music platform,” Neely said in a statement. “Our goal is to create true context around releases, and these synergies will allow artists a direct and more meaningful connection with fans.”

Harrison Bamel has been named Vice President of Breakaway Projects and will drive A&R and artist development for the record label venture. He also currently leads Breakaway’s Artist Management team, where he oversees emerging live electronic acts Night Tales, Mojave Grey and Klo.
Matt Oliver will serve as Breakaway Project’s Director of PR, focusing on increasing brand visibility across all key digital platforms.
Surf Mesa, JADED, EVAN GIIA, Night Tales, Mojave Grey, Klo, and Myles O’Neal have been confirmed as the first signings for Breakaway Project’s roster.
Up next for Breakaway is the second annual Breakaway Beach, which is a joint effort between Breakaway, SLS South Beach, and Hyde Beach that is taking place during Miami Music Week on March 27. The event features Diplo and Hugel.
Breakaway Music Festival editions include Dallas, Tampa, Atlanta, Philadelphia and St. Paul, Minnesota. Visit https://www.breakawayfestival.com/ for more information.
