Independent Artist Group has promoted veteran rock agent Nick Storch to the role of Head of Global Artist Development as the company continues celebrating the growth of its music division. Storch is the longtime agent for Ghost and Sleep Token, among other major touring acts.

He also works alongside Spiritbox, Sabaton and Frank Turner as well as co -representing Disturbed and Limp Bizkit. In April Storch signed progressive technical death metal band Gojira, for global representation.

This week’s announcement from IAG notes that Storch “has been known for his keen eyes and ears when it comes to recognizing new talent as well as working with long-time acts to create fresh takes on touring.” He’s spent 24 years as an agent and was part of the team at AGI prior to the 2023 merger that saw APA and AGI join forces as Independent Artist Group.

“Nick Storch certainly deserves to be recognized in the highest manner as he has demonstrated a rare quality in identifying talent and taking them to the highest levels of touring,” Dennis Arfa, chairman of IAG’s music division, said in a statement.

Storch added, “The collaboration and teamwork at IAG are unparalleled which makes building artists’ careers across multiple platforms and multiple continents a reality that we have been able to achieve time and again. To work hand in hand with great agents along with our  great managers we can help artists tell their stories for long, fruitful careers.”

Storch has recently celebrated some big wins with a few of his clients. Earlier this month Ghost hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Album chart with its sixth studio album, Skeleta. IAG notes this marked “the biggest opening week for sales of any rock, hard rock, or alternative album since AC/DC’s Power Up in 2020.” Storch first met the band in 2011 when they had only played a few shows. Now the band is playing arenas. Up next is a May 22 show in Ghost’s home country at Saab Arena in Linkoping, Sweden. Reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for Ghost include an April 15 at AO Arena in Manchester, U.K., that sold 14,424 tickets and grossed $1,459,623 ($1,105,951 pound sterling).

Plus, Sleep Token – which has worked with Storch for seven years – has just hit No. 1 with its new album Even In Arcadia. The British progressive metal band is gearing up for an arena tour in September and October. Sleep Token’s Pollstar Boxoffice reports include a Feb. 2, 2024, show at First Direct Arena in Leeds, U.K., that sold 10,134 tickets and grossed $594,340 ($468,310 pound sterling).
