Stone Temple Pilots Join Chili Peppers Tour
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are showing no signs of slowing their relentless road schedule. The band has announced a new stretch of dates for July, August and September. It will be the sixth leg of their ongoing tour.
The outing is especially notable because the Chili Peppers will be joined by Stone Temple Pilots. This marks STP’s first real tour in … uh… in a really long time. Years, in fact.
Longtime Chili Peppers compadres Fishbone will come along for the first half of the tour and a yet-to-be-named band will open the show on the second half.
The new dates start July 30 in Saratoga, N.Y. The bands take a break after the August 19 gig in Montreal and start up again September 1 in Irvine, Calif., with the tour finale coming September 22 in Seattle.
