The 2000 installment featuring an eclectic lineup of old and new artists including Ray Price, Billy Joe Shaver and Damnations TX, Larry Butler, the Cadillac Voodoo Choir, Bobby Boyd, Pat Green, The Geezinslaws, and Patsy Thompson, with more expected to be added.

The Independence Day festivities will take place at the new Stone Mountain Event Center. In years past, Nelson has taken the picnic to cities throughout Texas and beyond.
