Chronic Dope
The rapper had already been sentenced to 15 days for driving without a license and marijuana possession and was being transferred to a Buffalo, N.Y., jail when police said they found the weed in a cigarette pack.
He was immediately re-arrested, charged again with marijuana possession and fined $250.
Warrants stemming from the earlier charges had been issued when DMX missed a court date while in Texas on the Ruff Ryders/Cash Money tour.
In addition to the 15 days in jail, Judge Ronald Kmiotek ordered him to pay a $350 fine and $30 in court costs.
Lawyers for DMX, whose given name is Earl Simmons, reportedly filed an appeal and were attempting to have the sentence stayed until the appeal could be heard.
If the stay is refused, DMX will serve his sentence at the Erie County Correctional Facility in New York.
