On May 13, Great White, W.A.S.P., Metal Shop and a bevy of Playboy Playmates will join celebrity hosts including C.C. Deville at the LA Sports Arena for the Metal Rules — ‘80s Heavy Metal Charity Party. The show is a benefit for the TJ Martell Foundation for pediatric AIDS research.

Vic & The Rattlesnakes — a.k.a. metal mainstay Megadeth’s alter-ego — is also scheduled to appear. In addition to the music, concertgoers will be entertained between sets by “the hottest exotic dancers the L.A. scene has to offer” as well as vintage heavy metal videos and concert film footage.

They can also compete for $1,000 cash prizes, including those for “Best ‘80s Metal Costume” and “Hottest Metal Babe.”

The Metal Rules benefit is presented by radio station KLOS and will be covered by VH-1’s “The Rock Show.” Tickets are going for $5 a pop.

The charity event will be filmed as an “80s metal costume ball” for a scene in an upcoming movie, according to an event spokesperson.

The untitled film about a young musician who becomes lead singer for his favorite band is being directed by Stephen Herek (“Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure”) and stars Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston.
