They've Still Got The Beat

It seems that every summer there’s talk of a Go-Go’s reunion tour. Last year there were numerous reports about the band getting back together for a full-scale outing, but the ‘80s hit makers only played handful of dates.

This year, the rumors are true; The Go-Go’s are really going for it. The original members — singer Belinda Carlyle, guitarists Jane Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey, drummer Gina Schock and bassist Kathy Valentine — are hitting the road for real.

The most successful all-female rock band ever launches a nationwide amphitheatre tour July 7 in Detroit.

But wait — there’s more. Summer concert faves The B-52’s are joining The Go-Go’s as co-headliners and Psychedelic Furs will open the show.

The tour is scheduled to make more than 20 stops before closing in early August.
