Brown, 31, is back in jail in the south Florida city after his arrest at Newark International Airport in New Jersey on an outstanding warrant for violating his probation for a prior drunk-driving case.

Brown was returning from the Bahamas, where he and Houston have a home, when he was arrested and transported to the Broward County jail. He will remain in jail without bond until he goes before a Circuit Court judge May 22, a Broward County sheriff’s spokesperson told Pollstar.

The warrant was issued in June when Brown’s probation officer reported a positive cocaine test and Brown refused to re-test. The P.O. also reported that Brown had not returned home from a trip to Beverly Hills on time.

The original drunk-driving conviction came after Brown smashed Houston’s Porsche into a condominium sign in 1996. Brown served five days in jail for the incident.
