Illness KO’s ZZ Top European Plans
The “little ol’ band from Texas,” ZZ Top, cut short their world tour with the announcement that bass player Dusty Hill has Hepatitis C virus. ZZ Top had just wrapped up the Australian and New Zealand legs of their tour and were planning on hitting Europe starting June 3rd in Manchester, England. Thanks to early detection, Hill is expected to make a full recovery. ZZ Top hopes to reschedule the tour at a later date.
“I want to extend my deepest apologies to the ZZ Top fans we may have disappointed,” said Hill in a press release. “The prognosis is very good and with help of physicians and family, I hope to see you sooner rather than later.”
