Tommy Lee Jailed For Violating Parole
Superior Court Judge Lawrence J. Mira ordered the former Motley Crue drummer to spend five days in the Los Angeles County Jail and return to court on Wednesday.
The court was told of the violation on May 8 and Anderson was called to a hearing on Thursday to testify that Lee had been drinking, said Deputy District Attorney Kathryn Solorzano.
Lee, 37, was charged in February 1998 with spousal abuse, child abuse and a firearm violation after Anderson called 911 from her Malibu home and reported she had been assaulted during an argument.
Lee pleaded no contest to felony corporal injury to a spouse and was sentenced to terms of 180 days in jail and three years in state prison, both of which were suspended, as well as 200 hours of community service and time in a batterer treatment program.
On Friday, Mira extended Lee’s probation to May 26, 2003, reinstated random drug testing for Lee and ordered him to enroll in Alcoholics Anonymous.
