The band is touring Europe through June 25 and has added four USO dates to their itinerary while overseas: June 6 at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk, England; June 12 in Tuzla, Bosnia; June 13 at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo; and June 15 at Camp Monteith, Kosovo.

Tonic will perform the USO shows free for U.S. and NATO peacekeeping troops. More than 6,000 American troops stationed in Kosovo are expected to turn out for the concerts.

The first USO tour to Kosovo was the Operation Starlife “handshake” tour featuring Salma Hayek, Danica McKellar and Garrett Morris during November 1999.

Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ruth Pointer and Shane Minor visited Kosovo on another handshake tour in December.

“If there was ever a group of people who needed some rock ‘n’ roll, it would be those troops over there in Bosnia and Kosovo,” Tonic lead singer Emerson Hart said.

Tonic will perform mostly club shows and festivals on their non-USO shows in Europe.

The trio returns to the States for a few dates in late July and then kicks off a tour of mainly state fairs with the Goo Goo Dolls August 28 in Colorado.
