Co-sponsored by Levi’s and PAX, an organization founded to turn young people away from gun violence, the tour kicks off July 29 at the Chicago Theatre and winds down in early September.

Among those sharing the stage with D’Angelo at the Hamilton High press conference were Columbine High School student Devon Adams and student representatives of PAX.

During the event, D’Angelo was the first to sign a Levi’s-sponsored “Denim Wall,” which will travel with the tour for fans to sign. Signatures will be added to PAX’s Youth Petition to End Gun Violence, with a goal of accumulating 1 million names.

Levi’s will also donate to PAX $1 for every signature, up to $25,000.

D’Angelo will make stops at mainly theatres in more than 20 cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Atlantic City, Boston and Atlanta.

Tickets for the tour go on sale in mid-June.
