The boy band has invited some of its friends in the music and sports worlds to show their chops in a basketball game July 29. The event will raise funds for children’s charities in Challenge For The Children II.

Invited (but not yet confirmed) for the game are Usher, Method Man, Joe, Aaliya, Kobe Bryant, Isaiah Thomas, Kevin Garnett, Chris Webber and Rosie O’Donnell.

‘N Sync – which, come to think of it, could form a full team on its own – will play, but not perform. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The day before the game, N’Sync will host a press conference and VIP reception at Planet Hollywood New York. Reception guests will be able to participate in an auction of autographed celebrity and sports memorabilia.

Tickets to the game are priced from $20 – $42.50 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster beginning June 19.

Challenge For The Children offers financial support to several children’s programs and charities. Some of this year’s benefactors include Arnold Palmer’s Hospital for Children & Women, The Justin Timberlake Foundation and Nordoff-Robbins Foundation.

Last year’s inaugural Challenge For The Children took place in Atlanta and raised more than $100,000.
