Rage Against The Bicycle
The outing was scheduled to kick off August 2 in Toronto.
Mike D, aka Michael Diamond, injured the shoulder when he hit a pothole while riding his bike home from rehearsal in New York City, according to the band’s Web site. He messed up his clavicle as well as muscles, tendons and ligaments.
“The full extent of his injuries has not been determined. However, a specialist has recommended that he refrain from all physical activity for the duration of a two- to three-month rehabilitation regimen or risk permanently losing the use of the injured shoulder,” a band rep said.
Mike D will undergo minor surgery on the shoulder and receive further treatment.
Rescheduled dates and ticket refund information will be released soon, according to the statement.
