The Now And Zen Fest has lined up five bands for a day of music, food and New Age trappings at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco September 24.

Beck, the Go-Go’s, Tonic and Dogstar – featuring bassist Keanu Reeves – are confirmed for the third annual fest, with another act expected to be announced soon.

As its name suggests, the Now And Zen Fest is no ordinary rock festival. In addition to the music, the bash sports Mind, Body & Soul areas where concert-goers can have their palms and tarot cards read at the Zen Den, get a massage or be adorned with a tattoo.

No hot-dog-on-a-stick affair, food vendors will offer gourmet vegetarian and other healthy food from a variety of cultures including West African, Indian, Cajun, Italian, Chinese and Thai. And yes, there will be American fare for the less adventurous diner.

Other diversions include a climbing wall dubbed Mt. Zen (guru not included) and a retro costume contest.
