The five-man outfit has toured relentlessly since the release of 1999’s SoundSystem, teaming up in 2000 for tours with Incubus and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack in support. This time, 311 brings Zebrahead along for the ride.

311, whose name reputedly derives from an Omaha police code for indecent exposure, has earned a large and loyal following after 10 years of touring. This outing will bring their rap/metal/funk/reggae musical hybrid to fans in cities including San Francisco, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Dallas, Atlanta, New York City, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Chicago.

They’ll also play a smattering of festivals, including Cypress Hill’s Smokeout October 7 in San Bernardino, Calif., as well as a two-night homecoming in Omaha on October 18 and 19.

Zebrahead, an Orange County, Calif., punk/rap outfit, supports on all dates but the Smokeout festival and an October 28 city park festival in New Orleans. Their latest album, Playmate of the Year, hit stores August 22.
