The nearly 17,000 fans at the earlier sold-out show won’t have to shell out the usual price for the “fan appreciation” gig. At $5 per ticket, the September 6 concert at Gund Arena has already sold out.

And at that price, Creed won’t make any money off the show. The ticket price will go to covering costs of staging the concert, and if there’s anything left over, it will go to the Arms Wide Open Foundation, a Creed-related charity.

“I felt horrible about my performance that night in Cleveland,” Stapp said. “The fans in Cleveland have supported us tremendously for the last three years, and as a band, we felt it was important for the fans to see our show as it was originally intended.”

American Pearl will appear as a support act and local band Sinomatic will open.
