Ashcroft will reportedly perform solo, accompanying himself on a collection of acoustic and electric guitars. He’s touring in support of his solo debut, Alone With Everybody, but is also expected to play selections from The Verve’s catalog. And why shouldn’t he? Ashcroft wrote the songs.

This outing marks the first cross-country jaunt for the acclaimed singer since The Verve’s 1998 summer tour. The band split up last year for the second and apparently final time after scoring a huge hit with the single “Bittersweet Symphony.”

In December, Ashcroft is scheduled to perform a handful of dates in the U.K. and Ireland. The tour of prestigious theatres includes stops at the Apollo in Manchester, the Olympia in Dublin and London’s Brixton Academy.
