TLC’s T-Boz Retires From Touring
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of the Grammy-winning R&Bgroup TLC says she won’t be touring with the group anymore because of health concerns. She’s pregnant and has sickle-cell anemia and can no longer handle the strain of touring, the entertainer said.
T-Boz said she made her decision at the end of the all-girl group’s Fanmail tour. The group performed for a pay-per-view special and she barely made it through the concert, she said.
Touring for her, she said, is “not healthy, it’s not good and it’s not smart.”
Watkins, an effervescent bleached blonde, has been hospitalized several times because of the blood disease sickle cell anemia.
T-Boz has written the single “My Getaway” for the upcoming movie “Rugrats In Paris,” which will be released in November.
