But she wasn’t, thanks to Don Henley, who tapped the singer to open several dates on his U.S. tour. Those dates filled her calendar up to the October 21 kickoff of her solo club outing.

Sobule – out in support of her latest, Pink Pearl – will open for the ex-Eagle on dates through October 14, including Minneapolis, Little Rock, Albuquerque, Las Vegas, El Paso and Phoenix.

She has already spent plenty of time on the road this year, touring with Paula Cole and Warren Zevon, but not in front of the large audiences that Henley commands.

“To be the opening act on Don Henley’s tour is going to present me with a new and exciting challenge. I’m blown away and honored by the opportunity to play for his audiences,” Sobule said.

Once the shows with Henley are wrapped up, Sobule will hit a string of mostly West Coast clubs in larger markets such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Seattle.
