MacMaster – the niece of influential fiddler Buddy MacMaster and cousin of Cape Breton bad boy Ashley MacIsaac – will play colleges and theatres across the United States and Canada through at least June in support of her highly-acclaimed new release, My Roots Are Showing.

She’s maintained such a grueling schedule that she had to turn down an invitation to be a featured musician in Lord Of The Dance, the Irish music and dance production.

The versatile violinist has opened for performers as diverse as Carlos Santana and The Chieftains, but has spent the bulk of her career on the road as an ambassador for the music of Cape Breton – an island off the east coast of Canada near Nova Scotia.

My Roots Are Showing is MacMaster’s fifth album on the Rounder label.
