He had the transplant Saturday and had been removed from intensive care by Monday.

A spokeswoman says the transplant went well.

Doctors say many patients with the condition survive only about two years without a transplant. The cause of the disease is not known.

Le Doux was hospitalized in August with then-unspecified liver problems. He had to cancel a few tour dates but returned to the road in mid-September.

The former rodeo rider had been playing fairs in support of his 33rd release, Cowboy. He had a handful of Las Vegas shows scheduled for December but his management company told Pollstar that all 2000 dates have been scrapped.
