The monthlong outing launches November 24 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Stateline, Nev., spreading smooth jazz cheer through December 23.

While no one would mistake the foursome’s brand of jazz for John Coltrane or Miles Davis, all are staples of the popular smooth jazz radio format that lends its name to the tour.

Sax man Dave Koz and his music have turned up just about everywhere from regular appearances on the defunct “The Arsenio Hall Show” to cameo spots on soap opera “General Hospital” and other TV fare including “Family Matters,” and “Beverly Hills 90210.” His latest media foray is a syndicated radio show, “The Dave Koz Radio Show.”

His fifth and most recent CD is titled The Dance.

Trumpeter Rick Braun has made a name for himself not only as a solo performer, but as a producer and guest for numerous other contemporary jazz artists. His latest release is Shake It Up, a collaboration with Boney James.

Brenda Russell is a Grammy-nominated singer, composer and keyboardist who has seen many of her songs recorded by artists including Barbra Streisand, Luther Vandross, and Donna Summer. Her latest single, “Piano In The Dark,” was a pop and R&B hit.

Guitarist Peter White got his start as a member of English singer Al Stewart’s band. He’s recorded and toured with Basia, guested on many other artists’ releases, and has several solo albums to his credit.

His latest releases are Perfect Moment and a holiday collection, Songs of the Season.
