DMB switched producers on its as-yet-untitled album, and went into a Los Angeles studio October 9 with Glen Ballard at the helm after pulling the plug on earlier Virginia recording sessions with Steve Lillywhite.

The band reportedly expects the album to be wrapped up by mid-November and hit shelves in February. That time-line allows them to warm up for the road trip that kicks off December 3 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Support acts are expected to be announced soon.

Matthews and the band will make at least a two-week swing through arenas in the Midwest and Northeast, including stops in Chicago, Cleveland, Boston, New York City and Philadelphia.

They’ll also take a short break from recording duties October 28 and 29 to perform at the at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif.

The concert is an annual benefit hosted by Neil Young for the Bridge School for developmentally disabled children located in San Francisco Bay Area.
