The last few years, Holland made a tradition of taking the big band out on a United Kingdom holiday tour and this year is no different. The band leader, orchestra and guest vocalist Sam Brown travel to 30 towns over the course of a month, launching November 3 in Ipswich, England.

Along the way, they’ll pick up a couple of friends who will share vocal duties with Brown on different legs of the outing.

Ruby Turner is scheduled to join the tour November 5-19; former Soft Cell singer Marc Almond takes over November 22-30, and British pop-culture-icon-turned-torch-diva Marianne Faithfull finishes the trek December 2-20.

One of two Royal Albert Hall holiday season performances – on December 1 – features only Holland and the orchestra.

Holland began assembling the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra in 1985 while touring with ex-Squeeze drummer Gilson Lavis as a duo. Over the years, the outfit evolved into a big band, with sold-out shows throughout the U.K. and Europe.

On New Year’s Eve 1999, the group was chosen to lead the official celebrations at the Millennium Dome in Greenwich, England.
