One difference, however, is that the London show will be webcast live, according to Microsoft Web portal MSN.com. The webcast is expected to draw an audience rivaling the 3 million who logged on for a Paul McCartney performance at the The Cavern in Liverpool last year.

The Brixton Academy webcast will be Madonna’s first online concert.

Her record label, Warner Bros., is expected to officially announce the show today (November 9).

The November 26 gig will feature a pared-down performance from Madonna, plus support from ex-Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft, Texas, and Prodigy DJ Liam Howlett.

The Material Mom performed five songs from her new album, Music, at the venerable Roseland on November 5.

As was the case in New York City, tickets won’t be sold for the London date. Admission will be limited to local radio station promotion winners and fan club members.
