The band is also widely reported – but not yet confirmed – to be playing a similar gig December 1 at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.

The one-hour NYC show will be broadcast on radio live across the U.S., and tickets will be available only through a contest at 92.3 K-Rock (WXRK).

Neither the band’s reps, the House of Blues, nor likely sponsor KROQ-FM will confirm an L.A. club show on December 1. But the band is scheduled to perform nearby at the My VH-1 Awards show the evening before and a December 1 HOB date has been cleared by bumping previously scheduled blues man Keb’ Mo’ to December 5.

The group is reportedly planning to launch its 2001 world tour next March in Miami. The tour is expected to stop in arenas rather than the large stadiums the band has played on previous outings.

Meanwhile, they’ve been playing promotional one-offs to support their new album, All That You Can’t Leave Behind.
