The band has announced they will celebrate the December 12 release of their fourth album, Spiritual Machines, with an eight-city club tour. Most tickets will be free and distributed by radio stations in each market, though a small number will be held out for door sales day-of-show.

The tour launches December 1 in Vancouver and makes stops in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto and Ottawa, closing out December 13 in Montreal.

Our Lady Peace hasn’t seen the inside of many Canadian clubs since their 1999 hit release, Happiness Is Not A Fish That You Can Catch. The accompanying tour took the band to mainly arenas and sheds.

They’d already become used to playing the larger venues in support of fellow countrywoman Alanis Morissette on the northern leg of her 1995 Jagged Little Pill outing.

In addition to the Canadian club dates, Our Lady Peace will preview Spiritual Machines November 28 on their Web site, offering a five-song sampler for download.
