“While we help expand the SnoCore concept, we’ll also broaden its reach by attracting two very different audiences to the shows,” an artist rep said.

“There aren’t a lot of bands touring in the winter, and we’re looking forward to putting two great tours on the road during that time — especially for all those kids who live in the middle of the country who are up to their necks in snow. This tour is for them.”

In addition to the two caravans, there will be an interactive SnoCore 2001 Web site, featuring up-to-date news and information on the tour, links to all the artists’ Web sites, contests and ticket giveaways, and audio and video downloads. The site will launch December 20.

Past tours have featured Sublime, Primus, Blink-182, The Pharcyde, Everclear, System of a Down, and Powerman 5000.

Exclusive Web-only ticket sales for most SnoCore dates will be available December 14 at 2 p.m., with regular sales beginning the next day.
