Alan Jackson To Play Arenas
Country purist Alan Jackson is going to warm up his pipes with a monthlong arena tour prior to his second-billed stint on the George Strait Country Music Festival.
The headlining dates kick off January 31 in Albany, N.Y., with stops in eight additional cities in the Northeast.
Sara Evans will open for Jackson February 2 in Pittsburgh, and Lee Ann Womack supports February 9 in Buffalo, N.Y. Opening acts for the remaining shows haven’t been announced.
Jackson is supporting his latest release, When Somebody Loves You. Once the tour concludes, he’ll join up with George Strait, Womack, Lonestar, Brad Paisley, and Asleep At The Wheel for the fourth annual installment of Strait’s country music caravan.
The festival tour is expected to kick off in mid-March.
