It looks like frontman/guitarist Kelly Jones and bassist Richard Jones – no relation – will play nine cities in the U.S. and Canada, kicking off February 5 at the Cotton Club in Atlanta. The two will bring along an additional guitarist and keyboardist for the trek.

They’ll head north through New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Toronto, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles before winding down at Slim’s in San Francisco on February 17. Specific dates and venues were not confirmed at press time.

The bandmates will reportedly spotlight material from Stereophonics first two albums, Word Gets Around and Performance and Cocktails, as well as preview some songs from the upcoming disk, J.E.E.P. (“Just Enough Education to Perform”).

Stereophonics may not have wide name recognition in the States, but the group been steadily building a fan base. Performance and Cocktails has reportedly sold more than 2 million copies worldwide.

J.E.E.P. is expected to hit record store shelves in the spring and the band is expected to mount a full U.S. tour in support later in the year.
