The caravan takes off February 28 in Spartanburg, S.C., and is booked mainly in theatre-size venues in 17 cities so far. More dates may be added.

Shades Apart opens the first four shows, making way for Fuel and Oleander with the March 4 concert in Erie, Pa. The two bands will remain with the tour through the March 31 finale in Lincoln, Neb.

3 Doors Down has been garnering scads of media attention recently. Earlier this month, the quartet played the American Music Awards and picked up the hardware for best new pop/rock artist.

Their debut album, The Better Life, has gone quadruple-platinum on the strength of three hit singles – “Kryptonite,” “Loser” and “Duck and Run.”

Fuel is currently touring with Kid Rock and is out in support of its second album, Something Like Human. Like 3 Doors Down, the band reached the platinum plateau with its debut album, Sunburn, released in 1998.
