Ratdog Back On The Trail
Ratdog plans to come out of a winter hibernation with a spring tour, marking the band’s second outing since the release of the Evening Moods album in September.
The Grateful Dead descendent gets going March 28 in a country music shrine – the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The band hits 19 cities during the next month and plays two-night stands in Columbia, S.C.; Denver and Portland, Ore. Other stops include New Orleans, Atlanta, Louisville and Seattle.
Ratdog was formed by ex-Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir and bassist Rob Wasserman two years after the 1995 death of Jerry Garcia but hadn’t released an album until Evening Moods.
When not playing with Ratdog, Weir keeps busy with solo projects and another popular Dead offshoot – The Other Ones – which features Mickey Hart, Bruce Hornsby and other members of the Dead’s extended family.
