The Irish supergroup will kick things off July 6 in Copenhagen, then move on to Sweden, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Spain, England, Italy, and the Netherlands before concluding with the August 25 Slane Castle gig.

Three of the English venues are confirmed: Birmingham’s NEC Arena, the Manchester Evening News Arena, and Earl’s Court in London. Tickets for those three shows go on sale March 9.

The band is giving itself a few days off before the European launch, wrapping up its North American tour with a June 21-22 stand at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J.

“Beautiful Day,” the first single from the band’s current top-selling release, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, made U2 a big winner at the recent Grammy Awards. Bono and the gang picked up hardware in three categories for the song, though the album itself wasn’t released in time for Grammy consideration.
