One venue – Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta – confirms that all three bands have penciled in a May 28 concert. Despite a message on INXS’ Web site to the contrary, tickets are already on sale for the gig.

All three bands indicate a U.S. tour is in the works – Midnight Oil citing a May and June outing – though the dates haven’t been finalized.

Jon Stevens – who has already filled in for late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence on several dates in Australia – is expected to reprise his role for the tour. The band has also announced the June 5 release of a two-disc greatest hits package, Shine Like It Does (1979-1997): The INXS Anthology.

Midnight Oil – best known for towering frontman Peter Garrett’s bald pate and their political activism – released The Real Thing last year and still regularly tour their native Australia.

Similarly known for a string of hits during an ‘80s stretch in which all things Oz were deemed cool, Men At Work has continued to tour clubs and theatres worldwide.
