Three Scandinavian venues have announced bookings for the band: June 1 at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki; June 3 at the Globe in Stockholm and June 4 at the Oslo Spektrum.

Even though there’s only a smattering of European dates on the calendar thus far, it’s expected the band will announce a full tour soon.

Drummer and vocalist Don Henley has been talking up a new Eagles record and tour since launching his own solo outing last year, and it appears the rest of the band is backing him up – with one exception.

Henley and bandmate Glenn Frey announced the dismissal in February of guitarist Don Felder, who is suing the pair for wrongful termination. It hasn’t yet been announced who will replace Felder in the lineup.

Meanwhile, it’s been widely reported the remaining Eagles – Henley, Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmidt – have been writing songs and spending time in the studio. If an album does result, it will mark the first studio release from The Eagles since 1979’s classic The Long Run.

The quintessential 1970s California group last played together for a Y2K gig with Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Brown at the Staples Center, and last toured in the mid-‘90s.

The band’s 1994 and 1995 outings count among the top gross North American tours of all time with a combined gross of $142.7 million.
