The band is striking while the iron’s hot – Crazy Town has a hot single, “Butterfly,” holding its own at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Crazy Town was formed by L.A. boyhood friends and rappers Shifty Shellshok and Epic Mazur who recruited guitarists Rust Epiqe and Trouble Valli, bassist Faydoedeelay, drummer JBJ and DJ AM to fill out their sound. They recorded their Sony debut, The Gift of Game, in 1999.

The tour will take them to more than 20 cities through late May including Tucson, Oklahoma City, West Hollywood, Nashville and Cincinnati.

Crazy Town will hook up with Ozzfest for the June 8 kickoff at the New World Music Theatre near Chicago.
