The rooster-haired singer underwent extensive vocal therapy and training after the surgery and recovered sufficiently to record and release his 31st album, Human, earlier this year.

So far, the tour is scheduled to hit 13 cities, kicking off June 1 in Vancouver and stopping in amphitheatres and arenas in Seattle, the San Francisco Bay area, Atlanta, Cleveland, Toronto and other major markets.

Additional concerts are in the planning stages, with dates and venues to be confirmed. Announcements are expected soon for at least 29 more cities including Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Montreal, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, San Diego and Washington, D.C.

A consistent hit maker in the ‘70s, ‘80s and well into the ‘90s, Stewart has remained a strong live concert draw regardless of the whims of the record-buying public.

With an exhaustive 1998-99 tour itinerary, Stewart headlined close to 100 concerts, grossing $40.3 million in about 18 months.
