They’ll be bringing two more newcomers – Lifehouse and Tantric – along for the trip, which so far is confirmed for 11 cities, rolling out July 3 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. More dates are expected to be announced soon, with Seven Mary Three likely to hop aboard the caravan after the July 22 tour stop in Cheyenne, Wy.

In the last year, 3 Doors Down have garnered plenty of media attention with their string of hit singles. Recently, the band scored a slot playing at the American Music Awards and picked up the hardware for best new pop/rock artist.

The Biloxi, Miss.-based outfit also performed a high-profile show January 24 at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

Their debut album, The Better Life, has gone quadruple-platinum on the strength of the hits “Kryptonite,” “Loser” and “Duck and Run.” p

Lifehouse released their debut album, No Name Face, just last fall and now the single “Hanging By A Moment” is on the radio every other minute. But the rockers aren’t an overnight success. They spent three years building a fanatical following in Los Angeles thanks to their club appearances.

Tantric, which consists of former members of Days Of The New, released its first major label album in February and spent time opening for Metallica before embarking on its first national headlining club tour earlier this year.
