While MJ makes international waves with rumors of a pending album and tour, Janet is delivering the goods.

She’s got a freshly minted album, All For You, and she’s going to tour. Brother Michael will have to get in line and wait his turn if he wants the spotlight this summer.

Jackson will play 44 dates in North America. Her tour itinerary begins July 5 in Vancouver and runs through mid-October. The dates have been nailed down but the venues have not been confirmed in several cities.

Urban vocal group 112 will reportedly open several shows. Additional tour dates and support acts are expected to be announced soon.

Jackson was said to have wanted Outkast on the bill but the hip-hop outfit had already signed on with Moby’s tour.

Tickets will go on sale April 28 for 11 shows go on sale the last weekend in April. Other cities on Ms. Jackson’s itinerary thus far include Portland, Seattle, Edmonton, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Pittsburgh, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston Anaheim, Las Vegas and Denver.

After the North American tour, Jackson heads for Europe, where she will perform 25 shows in 10 countries.

The All For You show is being described as a steamy evening. The production is expected to play off of the album’s two major themes: the demise of a bad relationship and sex.

The outing is Jackson’s first since the high-profile 1998 Velvet Rope tour, which ranked No. 8 on Pollstar’s year-end tally of top-grossing tours with $33.1 million.
