Dates Canceled for Slipknot, Stereophonics
According to the band’s official Web site, the concerts had to be axed because the group hasn’t finished mixing their new album. Slipknot is still expected to launch a European tour May 17 in Lisbon, Portugal. The nine masked purveyors of metal mayhem return to North America for the Ozzfest 2001 tour, which starts June 8 near Chicago.
Welsh alt-rockers Stereophonics have nixed their North American club tour because of illness, V2 Records told Pollstar. The road trip was supposed to stop in major cities May 14-30, and included a couple of big radio festivals.
The U.S dates were booked to correspond with the release of the band’s new album, Just Enough Education to Perform.
Stereophonics’ summer European festival dates and multi-night stand on the European leg of the U2 tour are still on.
