Sheryl Crow Can't Lay Low

Sheryl Crow seems to really dig playing impromptu cozy club dates. She did one in London back in March and pulled off another last month in New York City. Keith Richards, Kid Rock, Stevie Nicks and Gwyneth Paltrow joined her onstage at the Cutting Room during that two-hour show.

Crow’s next potential all-star jam will take place at NYC’s Shine club May 14. No one’s saying who else will show up to play; the concert is billed as Sheryl Crow w/ Special Guest. But considering the number of celebs in the audience at the April show, you can bet it will be a unique event.

The set list could be pretty interesting, too. Crow is working on a new album, and an intimate performance like this would be the perfect opportunity to try out some new tunes.

On the other hand, the Grammy winner is fond of cover songs as well and has been known to dip into the catalogs of artists ranging from the Everly Brothers to the Allman Brothers. Heck, last month, she busted out the accordion and surprised the audience with The Who’s “Squeezebox.”
