The festival is dubbed Wotapalava – a euphemism for “what a fuss about nothing.” The outing is due to kick off July 13 in Miami and will play sheds in some 17 North American markets.

Additional artists are expected to be announced at a press conference May 30. In addition to the mainstage acts, there will also be a second stage with non-stop dance music by top-notch circuit DJs.

“Wotapalava will be a celebration of individuality and the freedom to be what you want to be,” said Pet Shop Boy and festival creator Neil Tennant.

“This is not exclusively an issue of sexuality; it’s about having the power to live as you want.”

Presale tickets for the first six dates are available at the PlanetOut.com and Gay.com Web sites, while the rest of the presales go online July 1. One dollar from every Wotapalava ticket will be earmarked for a national advocacy group and local charities to be announced at a later date.
