Eighties pop afficionados might be better acquainted with Tilbrook’s on-again, off-again band, Squeeze, which he co-founded with Chris Difford in the mid-‘70s.

While Squeeze is on an undetermined/unofficial hiatus, Tilbrook has remained busy recording and writing with Elvis Costello, Aimee Mann and Mark Knopfler. Tilbrook and Difford also continue writing songs together, some of which have been covered by Sting, Joe Cocker, and Grandmaster Flash.

Original Squeeze member Jools Holland also remains in the public eye hosting a BBC show and touring vigorously in the U.K with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. He has just added a number of dates to his summer itinerary

Tilbrook’s tour kicks off June 18 in Belfast, where he begins the first of four solo shows. The July 13 date in London features a full-band set, the only non-solo show during this tour. He hits the States July 23 in Los Angeles for 11 dates and then heads for Australia August 6.
