Starting August 13, New York City will be privileged to seven shows, each at a different venue. Washington D.C. follows next with a four-date run September 8-12. Atlanta and Chicago also host the artists for two nights in each city.

It’s been over two years since Maxwell has wooed live audiences and three since his last album was released. While he’s been out of sight, he has certainly not been out of music.

Maxwell’s third CD, a return to the inimate sound on his well-received debut Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite, is set for release on August 21.

Alicia Keys is record label guru Clive Davis’ latest sensation. Her debut album, Songs in A Minor, entered the charts at No.1.

Maxwell and his supporting lady Keys will tour until the beginning of October.
