Backstreet Boys Push Back Tour
The Backstreet Boys will resume their Black & Blue World Tour 2001 a few weeks later than they planned. Originally scheduled to get back on the road August 7, the Boys have set a new tour start-date for August 24 in Milwaukee.
Several of the concerts scheduled for earlier in August – including stops in Vancouver, Portland, Salt Lake City , Denver and San Jose – have now been pushed back toward the end of the tour in October.
Tickets that have already been purchased for the postponed shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates. Four new cities in the West – Boise, Albuquerque, Phoenix and San Diego – have been added to the revised tour.
The group’s schedule has been changed around to accommodate A.J. McLean’s treatment for substance abuse and depression.
According to bandmate Kevin Richardson, “A.J.’s initial treatment is going very well. His doctors have suggested it would be in A.J.’s best interest to take an additional week in transitional care.”
