Take the upcoming Incubus tour, for instance. AT&T Wireless will have interactive kiosks on prominent display on the tour’s 43 concerts as part of sponsorship deal that will save fans money.

“This is our first headline tour in more than two years and we want to do it right,” said guitarist Mike Einzinger. “That means delivering a great show for our fans at a reasonable ticket price. That’s very important to us, and this association with AT&T Wireless M3 makes it possible.” End result: top ticket prices for the tour are $25.

The outing kicks off September 14 in Gilford, N.H., and supports the band’s new album, Morning View, which will be released October 23.

As part of the sponsorship deal, fans can buy and activate an AT&T Wireless phone and get a VIP aXess Pack with two tickets to any of the 30 featured concerts on the Incubus tour, two VIP passes, and an invitation to the band’s meet-and-greet.

In addition to the VIP offer, AT&T Wireless – in conjunction with ARTISTdirect- is also hosting a Web contest where fans can sign up for wireless service and register to win two premiere tickets to the final Incubus show held in Los Angeles.

Before embarking on the North American tour, Incubus will tour Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
