The popular songbird was admitted to a New York area hospital July 25.

In addition to canceling all public appearances the release of Carey’s first movie, “Glitter” has been postponed until September 21. Berger said that the decision to postpone “Glitter” was entirely 20th Century Fox’s decision, although it is presumed that Fox didn’t want to release the film with the star unable to fulfill publicity obligations.
