So far, Jane’s is set to play three shows, starting with the Centrum in Worcester, Mass. on October 2, before the tour takes a two-week break. Live has some gigs in Europe mid-month and the U.S. outing continues upon their return. Jane’s dates pick up again October 15 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

The tour news comes after singer and guitarist Dave Navarro announced separate tour plans. The bandmates finish their own gigs before October, so the tour dates won’t conflict with the existing schedules.

The Jane’s camp has been insisting a full-blown tour was in the works for some time. Farrell openly stated he was planning a tour with the band but despite the abundant hype, nothing concrete was coming of the talk.

At first, the band was looking at a tentative August 15 kick-off, but that start date was later bumped to late September. Now, the beginning of October looks good.

It’s been more than four years since Jane’s Addiction has formally toured. Earlier this summer, the band – minus bassist Eric Avery – headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and played the Dysfunctional Family Picnic (hosted by WXRK-FM, New York) and KROQ’s Weenie Roast in Los Angeles.
