After their European blitz, the band returns Stateside where they begin a 3 night-stand at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley October 12. From there, the sextet stays on the road through the end of November.

Like most jam bands, Widespread Panic are no strangers to touring. They’ve been gigging steadily since April, as is their nature. A touring pattern seems to have developed in recent years: on the road from April through December, then they stop and catch their breath for a few months.

The Athens, Ga.-based group has been building a devout following since forming at the University of Georgia somewhere around 1985.

Widespread Panic was one of the founding acts of the now-defunct H.O.R.D.E. Tour. Their seventh album, Don’t Tell The Band, was released in June of this year.
